Privacy Policy

What we store

• Profile: name, country, target degree, field, GPA, English score, target countries. Stored in your browser's localStorage under eduradar.profile.v1. If you create an account and sign in, your profile and saved shortlist are also synced to our database (Supabase, hosted in the EU / Frankfurt) so they follow you across devices. Without an account, nothing leaves your browser.
• Your shortlist, documents and checklists: saved scholarships, generated documents and visa progress live in your browser under eduradar.tracker.v1, eduradar.docs.v1and eduradar.visa.v1. Your shortlist also syncs to Supabase when you are signed in.
• Language preference: stored under eduradar.lang in localStorage (and a cookie of the same name so the site can render in your language).
• API requests: when you click "Rank with AI" or "Analyze SOP," the content you submit is sent to Anthropic Claude for processing. We do not retain it.
• Accounts (optional): accounts are optional and used for cross-device sync (and, later, billing). If you sign up with email, your email address is stored by Supabase Auth. If you sign in with Telegram, your Telegram user id, username, first name and photo URL are stored to identify your account. There is no mandatory signup to use EduRadar — the whole product works without one.

What we do not store

• No advertising trackers, no tracking pixels, no sale of data. We use privacy-friendly Vercel Analytics (aggregate page metrics, no cookies, no cross-site profiles).
• No mandatory account, and never your raw password (passwords are hashed and handled by Supabase Auth).

Third parties

• Anthropic processes your matching requests and SOP submissions. Subject to their privacy policy at anthropic.com/legal/privacy.
• Semantic Scholar (free academic API) is queried for supervisor searches. We pass your search query string only.
• Hipolabs Universities API is queried for university lookups by country.
• Supabase (EU / Frankfurt) is our authentication and database provider for optional accounts and cross-device sync.
• Telegram is an optional sign-in method; when used, it shares your Telegram profile basics (id, username, name, photo) with us.
• Vercel hosts the site and provides cookieless, aggregate analytics.

Your rights

Clear your local data at any time via Profile → "Clear profile" (or your browser's site-data settings). If you have an account, you can permanently delete it and all server-side data from Settings → Delete account, which erases your profile, shortlist and sign-in identity from our database.
